Las Vegas isn’t a place known for being super kid friendly. Seriously, it’s not called “Sin City” for nothing. That’s why the Discovery Children’s Museum is such a remarkable place. By giving kids the opportunity to make their own “first” discoveries in the sciences, engineering, arts and math the Discovery Children’s Museum is all about putting the kids of Las Vegas first – which is right where they belong. When the museum came to us, we noticed they never put the “why” of what they did in their marketing communications. By running mostly transactional messaging, they were missing an amazing opportunity to create a deeper emotional connection with their core audiences.Kirvin-Doak Communications brought us in to help the museum develop a brand position and creative messaging. After going through our brand strategy process, we were able to help them develop a solid brand positioning – “Our Kids’ First” – that’s become the foundation for all their messaging. So far it’s a message that’s resonating with parents, teachers and most especially the donors that help keep the doors open and the discoveries happening.
