But as new casinos began encroaching on their territory, they needed a new campaign to remind people that they were still the best place to play in Central California and well worth the drive. The requirements: continue the fun, memorable and offbeat tone that Feather Falls’ advertising has always been known for; have legs enough to last for at least a year, maybe more; talk about gaming, dining, rewards, and beer; and that it work across media channels in TV, online video, out-of-home, and radio. The “Feather Fallosopher” checked all these boxes, plus we got to create a memorable new brand mascot, which seriously boosted the effectiveness of a campaign created on a budget that can only be described as “shoestring.”
