Martin Resorts owns and operates several boutique hotels all over California’s Central Coast. When they were ready to build their first hotel from the ground up, they came to us to help them develop a distinct brand position, identity, and advertising for what was going to be a very unique property in a very competitive hotel market. With just 16 luxurious rooms, the only rooftop bar in Paso, a lobby wine bar featuring selections from some of the region’s most acclaimed wineries, and a modern millennial-influenced design aesthetic with vintage touches, The Piccolo was going to provide a guest experience that, true to its name, would hit all the right notes. Once The Piccolo branding was in place, we also came up with the names and logos for the rooftop bar and restaurant, Tetto, and Piper, their lobby wine bar, along with bar menus and other collateral for hotel.
